Armed only with curiosity, a tape recorder and a list of questions covering love, sex, commitment, marriage and family, I set out to confirm the existence of real love.  Never once did it occur to me that I might be in any danger - physical or emotional.  I kept a steady course despite wanting to strangle some of the men.  I crisscrossed the country interviewing men from all walks of life - ages 18 to 80.  I laughed and cried with them often in the space of a single interview.  These are the very true, homogenized adventures of a love investigator.
